John Ward
He was a representative in the General Court for fifteen years, including the interim between the deposition of Governor Andros and the operation of the new charter, and served as a delegate to the Council for the Safety of the People and Conservation of the Peace, May 9 and 22, and June 5, 1689.

"WARD: JOHN, Newton, eldest son of John of the same, married 30 November 1681, Mary daughter of John Spring, had Mary, born 10 April 1683, died soon; Sarah, 25 Mar. 1685; was freem. 1690, selectman several years rep. many; and died 5 June 1727, leaving will to be executed by widow Mary, who died 30 April 1731, and deacon William Trowbridge, who had married 14 December 1708, his only child and living under his roof.
