John Hesketh 1290-

notes on John Hesketh
Sir John de Hesketh, knight, was the son and became heir of Thomas Hesketh and Alice Bispan after the death of his brother Robert. Sir John became Lord of Rufford Hesketh and etc. He married Alice, sole daughter and heir to Edmund Fitton, honor of half the lordship of Rufford and had issue, Sir William de Hesketh. Copies from the original Roll in the possession of Sir Thomas George Fermor Hesketh, of Rufford, Baronet.)Sir John de Hesketh, who already owned half of the Manor of Rufford married Alice heiress to the other half and became Lord of the Manor there.
