Early
in the history of America, Deacon Thomas Hastings made his home in Watertown,
Mass. He arrived in this country on 10 April 1634 at the age of twenty-nine.
The family continued to live in Massachusetts for almost a century and then
made a move to New Hampshire, where they settled in the town of Chesterfield.
